You are welcomed at our Sukhumvit (Nana / Asok area) studio (or collected for the temple tour). A 15-minute consultation confirms the Yant, its dimensions and placement on your body.
The master hand-pokes your Yant using a sterile khem sak or sak lek needle, chanting the Khata mantra throughout to awaken the tattoo's protective energy.
You leave with an aftercare kit, written healing guidance in English, and the full set of Khor Ham (post-tattoo precepts) so you can honour the commitment your Yant represents.
Our studio is situated on Sukhumvit Soi 11, a short walk from Sukhumvit Soi 11 in Sukhumvit (Nana / Asok area). We serve visitors staying anywhere across Bangkok, and the temple tour extends to affiliated samnaks in the surrounding countryside.
Guests travel to us from all corners of the city and the wider Bangkok region, including:
Everything clients ask us on WhatsApp, answered in plain, straightforward English.
Absolutely. A brand-new, sterile single-use khem sak or sak lek needle is opened in front of you before every session. Ink is freshly poured each time, the master wears gloves and the workspace is thoroughly disinfected between clients.
Sak Yant is a genuine tattoo and is permanent. Like any tattoo it can be lightened by laser, but doing so is widely regarded as disrespectful to its sacred significance. We always encourage careful reflection before booking.
Yes, without reservation. The great majority of our clients are from abroad and many do not practise Buddhism. What the tradition requires is sincere respect. The master will explain the meaning of your chosen Yant and what it calls you to honour.
Women are fully welcome at our studio. For the temple tour, the Ajarn monk observes traditional protocol — a cloth is placed between his hand and the skin — but the tattoo and Khata blessing proceed in exactly the same manner.
A small single Yant begins at 3,400 THB; popular designs such as Hah Taew, Gao Yord and Paed Tidt range from 4,700 THB to 7,400 THB; and large or bespoke Wat Bang Phra pieces run from 8,800 THB to 12,200 THB. The all-inclusive temple tour is 12,800 THB.
Hah Taew (5 lines) brings protection, charisma and good fortune; Gao Yord (9 spires) is the universal guardian; Paed Tidt shields you across the 8 directions of travel; Suea (twin tigers) channels warrior strength and resolve. During your consultation the master will match a design to your current life stage.
Most clients describe a sharp scratching feeling — uncomfortable rather than unbearable. Small designs take 20–30 minutes; larger ones require more time, though the steady rhythm of the chanting helps you settle. Healing tends to be quicker than with a machine tattoo.
Placement is decided together with the master. The essential rule is that sacred imagery — particularly Buddha or deity-related Yants — must sit above the waist and never on the lower body or feet. We will guide you respectfully throughout.
Most Sak Yants heal within 7–14 days. We provide an aftercare kit containing balm and written English instructions: keep the area clean and dry on the first day, apply balm lightly, and avoid pools, the sea and prolonged sun exposure until fully healed.
The Khor Ham are precepts you accept to keep your Yant 'alive'. Typical ones include refraining from harming others, never speaking badly of your parents, and avoiding certain foods such as star-shaped fruit. The complete written list specific to your Yant is given to you after the session.
Our lead master completed an initial seven-year training at a Wat Bang Phra samnak and has spent more than 18 years tattooing under senior Ajarns affiliated with Wat Bang Phra. He continues to study with experienced masters to this day.
Yes — every session includes the Khata mantra, chanted by the master as he works the Yant into your skin. This is what animates its protective power and is an integral part of our practice, not an optional extra.
A tip is appreciated but never required — our prices are all-inclusive. Should you wish to leave something, 200–500 THB is customary, or you may bring a small traditional offering such as flowers, incense or cigarettes. We will walk you through this on the day.
During high season (November–February) we suggest booking 2–4 weeks ahead. Outside that window, a few days' notice is generally sufficient. Your 1,400 THB deposit confirms the slot and is deducted from the final total.
Both are genuinely authentic. The Sukhumvit (Nana / Asok area) studio is quicker, more comfortable and well suited to shorter stays. The temple tour is more immersive — an Ajarn monk, traditional offerings and a full ceremonial setting — choose it when you want the most profound experience possible.
